Intensity of conditioning

The intensity of conditioning can be adjusted by means of the
conditioner's crop inlet plate and through the rotor speed.
- Adjust the crop inlet plate.
Position (A, fig. 7) ensures the highest intensity of
conditioning, whereas it is lowest when the crop inlet plate
is adjusted to the (B) position. There is one intermediate
position.
Lock the crop inlet plate on both sides of the conditioner
hood.
- Place the machine on a level floor and lift the headstock up
to at least working height in order to prevent oil from
flowing out of the gearbox after removal of the cover.
Fit the correct gear combination (fig. 8) to obtain the
required rotor speed.
The highest intensity of conditioning is obtained by adjusting
the crop inlet plate in the (A, fig. 7) position, combined with
the highest rotor speed.
If the lowest rotor speed is combined with the (B) position of
the crop inlet plate, the crop is hardly conditioned.

Swath width

Swath width of the SPLENDIMO 240 TC mower/ conditioner
is adjustable from 0,8 up to 1,6 m - for the 280 TC model it
can be varied between 1,0 and 1,8 m.
- Use the adjusting device (fig. 9) to obtain the required
opening of the swath-board. Then lock the adjusting
device.
