Switching on the Devices
Once the SIM card is inserted, the "GX107" switches on automatically. This is signalled by the
green LED (status GSM (4)):
First, the LED remains lit (network search); after a few seconds, the LED should start flashing
(network found, "GX107" ready for operation). If the green status LED does not start to flash,
there is an error in the connection with the GSM provider.
In this case, check the following:
• SIM card set to correct PIN ("1513")?
• SIM card locked (PUK)?
• Check reception with another mobile phone
• SIM holder arrested properly?
• Battery connected correctly?
• External voltage present (at least 1 battery LED is lit)?
• Checking connection of an external GSM aerial (if present)
If the "GX107" still does not register in the GSM network, reset the device to default (see
chapter 11) and use an external voltage supply (no battery operation).
If the red LED is lit (3), access to the SIM card is not possible!
Check that the SIM card was activated, inserted correctly and/or set to the correct
PIN.
If the "GX107" as used with a different SIM card before, the PIN in the "GX107" may
have to be changed. In this case, reset the "GX107" to factory settings (section
"Factory Reset") and check the SIM card PIN in your mobile phone.
