12.5 Operating Voltage Monitoring

The correct voltage of the power supply for the "GX107" is between 5 V and 32 V. The "GX107"
can verify the voltage of the power supply and inform you (i.e. send an alarm text message)
if the voltage is too low or no voltage is present.
This function is required, e.g. if the "GX107" is supplied by a car battery. If the car battery is
discharged too far or the car's power supply is manipulated, the "GX107" will automatically
send an alarm message.
The "GX107" is equipped with an internal LiIon battery to ensure the device's function for a
certain time and thus to enable continuation, e.g. of the GPS function.
Command to set the min. voltage:
SET VOLTAGE <Voltage> #1513
The voltage can be set from 500 to 2700 (from 5 V to 27 V).
If the voltage is set to 500, the alarm is switched off.
Reset to factory settings
Send the following command to reset to factory settings (off):
RESET VOLTAGE #1513
Checking settings
To verify the desired settings, use the command:
TEST VOLTAGE #1513
Hysteresis function:
As of firmware version 1.11d (the version number is in every answering text message), every
analogue measurement (ADC, TEMPERATURE, VOLTAGE) has a hysteresis to prevent
multiple alarms in case of measured value fluctuations around the alarm value. Please observe
the corresponding chapter "Hysteresis".
