9. Commissioning - First Steps

The module may only be commissioned after it has been installed contact-free in
a casing. Prior to commissioning the module group, check whether it is suited for
the intended application!
In case of doubt, you must contact an expert or the manufacturer!
Operating voltage
Open the casing, i.e. turn out the 4 screws and remove the casing lid. Direct voltage of 5 to
32 V/DC is required at the input clamps (15). Observe correct polarity (plus/+ and minus/-).
The following are lit when the operating voltage is connected correctly:
LED (1) or LED (2) = Battery is connected
LED (1) and LED (2) = Battery is not connected
No LED = No operating voltage (battery and external) present; check connections
SIM card preparation
The following is needed for operation and configuration of the "GX107":
• A common mobile phone with SIM card for configuration of the "GX107"
• An additional SIM card (prepaid or contract) for the "GX107"
Changing the PIN code
For operation of the "GX107", you need a separate SIM card, as for any other mobile phone.
It is inessential whether you use a prepaid or contract card.
Every SIM card has a PIN code. Since the "GX107" has its own PIN processing, the SIM card's
PIN code must be changed.
Insert the SIM card you want to use for the "GX107" in any module phone first and change the
PIN code of the SIM card to "1513". For this, observe the operating instructions of your mobile
phone.
After changing your SIM card's PIN code, you can remove it from your mobile phone and put
it in the "GX107". The SIM insert is on the front of the "GX107"'s PCB, below the casing lid.
