On-board battery charger
Safety notes
Please read and comply with the operating
instructions before using the battery
charger.
Also comply with the instructions supplied
by the battery manufacturer.
Keep children away from batteries and the
battery charger.
Do not change the plug on the battery
charger.
The battery charger may be used with the
recommended batteries only. If incorrect
batteries are connected to the battery
charger, the batteries may gas excessively,
boil and explode.
The battery charger may be operated only
in the installation location specified by the
factory.

Intended use

Use this battery charger in accordance with
the information in these operating
instructions only.
– The battery charger may only be used
for charging undamaged lead traction
batteries.
– The charger may only be used for main-
tenance-free batteries with a nominal
voltage of 24V and a nominal capacity of
160 ... 180Ah (BR/BD) or 105Ah (BR
Eco).
– The battery charger may be operated
only when correctly installed.

– The battery charger may be operated
with the following mains fuse only:
Fuse at least 10 A gL or Thermal
fuse cut-out at least 10 A
(B or C characteristic).

Indicator lights

1 Red LED illuminates = battery charger/
battery fault, inform customer service
2 Green LED illuminates = batteries fully
charged
3 Yellow LED illuminates = batteries are
being charged
