CONSTRUCTION AND INTENDED USE
The hammer is a hand-held power tool with class II insulation. The device
is powered by a single-phase commutator motor, whose rotational speed
is reduced by means of a gear transmission. This type of power tool is
widely used for working with concrete, brick and related materials. Its
areas of application include renovation and construction work.
The power tool must not be used for purposes other than those for which
it is intended.

PREPARATION FOR WORK
ADJUSTING THE AUXILIARY HANDLE
For safety reasons, always use the auxiliary handle when operating
the hammer.
In addition to being adjustable to any position around the hammer housing,
the auxiliary handle has a step-type adjustment mechanism.
•
Loosen the auxiliary handle lock knob (7).
•
Turn the auxiliary handle (3) around the circumference of the
hammer housing to the most convenient position for the work to
be performed.
•
Set the selected position of the auxiliary handle (7) by tilting it
away from the hammer housing.
•
Tighten the auxiliary handle lock knob (3) to secure it in place.
INSTALLATION AND REPLACEMENT OF WORK TOOLS
The hammer is designed to work with working tools with hexagonal
shanks. Clean the hammer and working tools before starting work. Apply
a thin layer of grease to the shank of the working tool. This will increase
the service life of the device.
When inserting the tool (Figure A), be careful not to damage the dust
cover. A damaged dust cover must be replaced immediately. We
recommend that the cover be replaced by an authorised service
centre.
CAUTION: Always disconnect the power tool from the power supply
before performing maintenance or replacing the working tool!
•
Rest the hammer on a workbench.
•
Turn the work tool locking pin (1) 180° and insert the work tool into
the tool holder. The bearing in the work tool should be facing the
locking pin.
•
Turn the work tool locking pin (1) back to its original position to
lock the tool.
•
Check the lock by pulling on the work tool.
High hammer performance can only be achieved if sharp and
undamaged working tools are used.
REMOVING THE WORK TOOL
Work tools may be hot immediately after use. Avoid direct contact
and wear suitable protective gloves. Clean the work tools after
removal.
•
Rest the hammer on a workbench.
•
Turn the work tool locking pin (1) 180° and remove the work tool
