CLEANING GUIDE
CAUTION: Do not use solvents, chemicals, or abrasives when cleaning the machine, as this may
damage some surfaces.
MAINTENANCE AND REPAIRS
-
Before starting cleaning, adjustment, repair, and maintenance operations, park the machine on a firm,
level surface, set the parking brake, stop the engine, let it cool, and remove the ignition key.
-
Allow the machine to cool before working on or around the engine, exhaust manifold, or muffler. This
also applies in particular to all maintenance operations on the mower deck. Temperatures of 80°C and
above can be reached.
Danger of burns!
Direct contact with engine oil can be dangerous. Do not spill engine oil.
CLEANING:
After use, the entire lawnmower and accessories must be cleaned. In particular, all grass clippings must be removed,
as the moisture they contain can cause long-term damage.
Clean the device with water as follows.
•
Insert the hose connector into the mower's water connection and open the tap.
•
Turn the mower on and turn it off again after about 30 seconds.
•
The rotating blade bar throws water toward the bottom of the mower, cleaning it.
•
Turn off the tap and remove the hose connector.
•
Wipe the top with a cloth (do not use sharp objects).
NOTE: Dirt and grass are most easily removed immediately after mowing. Dry grass and dirt can
result in poorer cutting performance. Check that the grass chute is free of any grass debris.
•
Wear gloves or appropriate tools for cleaning. Do not clean with bare hands.
•
Clean the machine after each use to ensure optimal performance and longevity. It is recommended to raise the
machine when performing any checks or maintenance on the underside of the deck, avoiding tilting it to prevent
fuel or oil spills.
•
Use a slightly damp cloth, water, and a mild detergent for cleaning.
•
Use a brush for parts that are difficult to reach.
•
Ensure all vents designed for heat dispersion are clean and free of obstructions or debris.
•
Remove grass clippings, dirt, etc. from the underside of the deck and blades (the wash function on some models
makes this task easier).
•
It is recommended to lightly oil the blades after each use to prevent corrosion.
•
Ensure all hoppers and covers are clean and unobstructed.
•
Ensure spring-loaded terminals, such as the rear cover, snap back into place when released.
•
Clean and check the collection basket for damage and replace damaged parts as required. Allow the grass
catcher to dry completely before storing it to prevent deterioration or rot.
•
Make sure all cables, levers, switches, etc. are clean and operate properly and without problems.
