-
Avoid mowing in places where the wheels have difficulty gripping or where mowing is otherwise unsafe.
-
Before reversing, make sure there is no one behind you, especially small children, who are harder to see.
-
When mowing tall, thick grass, select the highest cut level and mow at a slower speed.
-
Before removing grass or any blockages, turn off the engine and remove the filler cap.
-
Never remove any safety-related parts.
-
Never fill the engine with gasoline when it is hot or running.
MOWING
-
Use only a sharp, well-maintained blade. This will prevent the grass blades from fraying and the lawn
from turning yellow.
-
Try to mow the lawn in straight lines for a nice, clean look.
-
At the same time, the cutting strips should always overlap each other by a few centimeters to avoid
bare strips.
-
Keep the underside of the mower housing clean and remove grass buildup. Grass buildup not only
makes the mower difficult to start; it also reduces the quality of the cut and makes it difficult for the
machine to collect the grass. Always mow along slopes (not up and down). Turning the front wheels
slightly uphill while mowing will prevent the mower from slipping and straying from a straight line.
Select the cutting height based on the length of the lawn. If the grass is long enough, mow it several
times so that no more than 4 cm of grass is cut at a time.
CHECK THE BLADE.
CAUTION: Turn off the engine before performing any checks on the blade.
•
Keep in mind that the blade continues to rotate for a few seconds after turning off the engine. Never attempt
to stop the blade manually. Periodically check that the blade is securely fastened, in good condition, and sharp.
If not, sharpen or replace the blade.
•
If the blade hits an object, immediately turn off the mower and wait for the blade to come to a complete stop.
Then, inspect the condition of the blade and blade holder.
•
Replace any damaged parts.
