STOPPING THE ENGINE
1.
Fully depress the brake clutch pedal (3) and engage the parking brake (16).
2.
Stop the mower by pulling the lever (8) to the right and back.
3.
Set the throttle lever (14) to the "SLOW" stationary acceleration position.
4.
Turn the ignition key (10) to the "STOP" position.
5.
Set the desired cutting height (7).
6.
Always remove the ignition key (12) when leaving the mower.
ADJUSTMENTS
ADJUSTING THE CUTTING HEIGHT
Before using the mower, raise the trimmer head height adjustment to the most suitable cutting position for your lawn.
5-Level Cutting Height Adjustment:

Stop the mower and disengage the blades.
•
Turn the key to the STOP position and engage the
parking brake.
•
To raise the mower deck, grasp the deck height
adjustment lever, push it to the right to disengage
it from the slot, move it toward the rear of the
mower, and then push it to the left into the slot
to secure it.

To lower the mower deck, grasp the deck height
adjustment lever, push it to the right to disengage
it from the slot, move it toward the front of the
mower, and then push it to the left into the slot
to secure it.
NOTE: When adjusting the mower head height, grasp the height adjustment lever handle only when
it is locked. Release your hand only when it is in the required card slot. Releasing the adjustment
lever too quickly can create a danger of pinching or pulling the operator's hand.
USE
When the engine is idling (slowest continuous running speed), the cutting action is minimal. As the engine speed
increases, the cutting action becomes more efficient. Operate the engine at a sufficient speed to provide the desired
cutting action. This may vary depending on the type of grass, grass height and density, etc.
