12 Cleaning and care
• Change the air filters when the filter change in-
dicator appears on the RLS control (factory set-
ting 6 months).
• The air filters are housed in the RV 2 slide-in
module. Always replace both air filters (inside
and outside) on each ventilation unit.
• Clean the ventilation units with a dry cloth only.
• Have the ventilation units cleaned by a special-
ist installer at least every 2 years.
WARNING: Danger to health if oper-
ated without an air filter or with unauthorised
air filters.
Using the unit without approved air filters can
lead to serious damage to health (respiratory
problems, infections, etc.).
• The ventilation unit may only be operated with
original air filters.
• The ventilation unit must be switched off, partic-
ularly in dangerous situations (e.g. in the event
of a fire).
• Never block the air supply to the ventilation unit.
• Dispose of the air filters properly, as they may
contain harmful substances and allergens.
Wear personal protective equipment (mask).

14 Decommissioning, dismantling
DANGER due to electric shock
Observe the safety rules of electrical engineering.
Before taking off covers and before installing the
electrics, shut down all supply circuits, switch off
mains fuse, check that no voltage is present, se-
cure against being accidentally switched back on
and position a visible warning sign.
Decommissioning may only be carried out
by qualified electricians.
1. Switch off the mains fuse and secure it against
being switched on again.
2. Dismantle the individual unit components and
dispose of them properly in accordance with
the following chapter.
15 Environmentally responsible
disposal
Packaging and waste equipment contain
valuable, recyclable materials. According
to the Electrical and Electronic Equip-
ment Act and the WEEE Directive, these
must not be disposed of in the domestic
waste. Dispose of them in an environment-
ally friendly manner, in compliance with
the regulations valid in the country where
you are.
