6 Functions, settings
5.5 Switching on time-limited
intensive ventilation (intermittent
ventilation)
Press
button for 2 seconds. The ventilation
unit runs for 30 minutes at level 5 (duration of in-
termittent ventilation can be parameterised).
5.6 Switching on time-limited switch-
off (sleep function)
Press
button for 2 seconds. The ventilation
unit switches off for 60 minutes (duration of
switch-off can be parameterised).
5.7 Switching on automatic mode
The sensor/demand-driven automatic function
is only available when the sensor is connected
and activated. Automatic dehumidification with
HYI or HY sensor. Automatic CO2 and air quality
control with CO2 and VOC sensor. The air flow
volume is infinitely variable.
Press
or
button for 2 seconds. The
ventilation unit runs in automatic mode.
Function active when symbol LED
To switch off, press one of the buttons again for
2 seconds.
6 Functions, settings
RV 2 ventilation units run in push-pull mode and
ensure a continuous supply of fresh air with heat
recovery in operation with heat recovery mode.
The cross-ventilation operating mode (without
heat recovery) ensures that the rooms are ventil-
ated in one direction.
In push-pull operation, there is a constant change
from the exhaust air phase to the supply air
phase and vice versa every 30 seconds.
To reverse the direction, the fan unit in each vent-
ilation unit is rotated in a drum. When the ventila-
tion unit is switched off, the air path remains
closed with the drum in the transverse position.
The setting values and system statuses are indic-
ated on the RLS 45 K room air control by LEDs
and symbols. To save energy, the LEDs of the
RLS 45 K are dimmed if not used for 5 minutes.
Set value can be changed with commissioning
software.

The set operating mode and ventilation level
apply to all connected room air controls and vent-
ilation units, as does the External OFF function.
Other settings (intermittent ventilation, sleep
mode) only apply to ventilation units on the relev-
ant room air control.
The cross-ventilation mode should only be used
for limited periods so that the rooms do not cool
down when the supply air temperature is low (out-
side temperature < 16 °C).
6.1 PushPull operation with heat
recovery
All ventilation units connected to a room air con-
trol run with heat recovery. The corresponding
heat recovery LED lights up.
Interconnected pairs of devices switch between
ventilation and air extraction every 30 seconds.
The ventilation level can be selected freely.
6.2 Cross-ventilation mode
For rapid ventilation of living spaces or for cool-
ing, e.g. on summer nights. No heat recovery.
The air flows in one direction either for ventilation
or air extraction. The LED on the cross-ventilation
button lights up. The ventilation level can be se-
lected freely.
lights up.
6.3 Automatic mode/sensor mode
This operating mode ensures that the air is dehu-
midified as required and that the indoor air quality
is improved (depending on the sensors in the
ventilation system). If required, the ventilation is
automatically adjusted using the humidity, CO2 or
air quality value (VOC) measured by the sensor.
Interconnected device pairs are controlled ac-
cording to the stored sensor characteristic curve
(linear curve). The sensor limit values can be set
with the commissioning software.
If a ventilation level is set during automatic mode
manually, the ventilation units continue to run at
this ventilation level for 30 minutes. The ventila-
tion units then switch back to automatic mode.
If the maximum humidity limit value is exceeded,
intensive ventilation with heat recovery is ac-
tivated (ventilation level 5). This function can also
be started manually using an optional button or
switch on the 230 V switching contact (with activ-
ated start delay/duration).
