6 Functions, settings
6.4 Deactivating ventilation level 0
The Off function (ventilation level 0) can be deac-
tivated by the specialist installer. This ensures a
permanent basic level of ventilation to avoid dam-
age from mould, for example. For further informa-
tion → Installation and commissioning instruc-
tions.
6.5 LEDs on the RLS 45 K
The LEDs are dimmed after 5 minutes to save en-
ergy. To switch back to normal operation, simply
press a key. The LED light intensity can be set
with the commissioning software of the RLS 45 K
control (setting parameter not available in the
service menu).
6.6 Sleep mode with ventilation level 0
All connected ventilation units are switched off
for 60 minutes using an optional button on the
230 V switching contact.
The Sleep mode parameter must also be set in
the Service menu. The switch-on duration can be
adjusted with the CDV commissioning software,
230 VAC input, Duration of night rest para-
meter (setting range 15...120 minutes).
If any button on the control is pressed during
sleep mode, the ventilation units switch back to
the ventilation level used previously.
6.7 Intermittent ventilation/intensive
ventilation with ventilation level 5
All connected ventilation units are switched on
for 30 minutes with an optional button on the 230
V switching contact.
The intermittent ventilation parameter must be
set in the Service menu. The switch-on duration
can be adjusted with the CDV commissioning
software, 230 VAC input, Duration of ventila-
tion level 5 parameter (setting range 5...90
minutes).
If any button on the control is pressed during in-
termittent ventilation, the ventilation units switch
back to the ventilation level used previously.
6.8 External OFF safety shutdown
The external OFF safety shutdown switches
off all components integrated in the ventila-
tion system centrally. The safety shutdown is
triggered with an optional on/off switch on the 230
V switching contact of the control.
The Safety shutdown parameter must be set in
the Service menu. The function can also be ac-
tivated with the CDV commissioning software,
230 VAC input, Safety function parameter.
6.9 Sensors for RV 2 ventilation
systems
• PP 45 HYI humidity sensor (internal)
• PP 45 HY humidity sensor
• PP 45 CO2 CO2 sensor
• PP 45 VOC air quality sensor
• Radio sensor with EEP protocol
Properties
• Sensor-controlled automatic operation only for
ventilation units that are connected to the same
control as the sensors. The air flow volume of
the RV 2 ventilation units is infinitely variable
depending on the sensor readings.
• Wired sensors are connected to the RS 485
bus of the RLS 45 K (master).
• Radio-controlled operation with DS 45 RC radio
switches and radio sensors. These can only
be used in combination with an RLS 45 K
EnOcean module (master) connected to the
PP 45 EO.
• In total, up to 8 devices (DS 45 RC radio
switches and/or radio sensors) can be taught-
in on an RLS 45 K with PP 45 EO.
6.10 Volumetric flow compensation
supply air mode for exhaust air units
The volumetric flow compensation for exhaust
air units is switched with an optional on/off switch
on the 230 V switching contact.
The associated Supply air mode overrun para-
meter can be set in the Service menu (setting
values 0, 6 or 15 minutes). Alternatively, the CDV
commissioning software, 230 VAC input, Supply
air function parameter can also be used.
Volumetric flow compensation in single-type
RV 2 and CPP 60 systems
• This function can be used to create volumetric
flow compensation for exhaust air units, for
example for Maico exhaust air fans ER(60 m³/h)
or ECA 100 ipro.
• When this function is active, all ventilation units
connected to the RS 485 bus of the master
controller take over the volumetric flow com-
pensation.
