5 Operation

5 Operation
The ventilation system runs in continuous oper-
ation. Once the mains fuse has been switched
on, the LEDs of the selected operating mode and
ventilation level light up on the room air controls.
To switch off, select ventilation level 0. Switch-off
function can be deactivated in the service menu.

5.1 Control units

RLS 45 K room air control
DS 45 RC radio switch
Only in combination with the RLS 45 K and the
EnOcean module PP 45 EO.

5.2 Control buttons

Operating mode: Continuous ventila-
tion with heat recovery (PushPull op-
eration). All ventilation units connected
to the RLS 45 K operate with heat recov-
ery.
Operating mode active when button LED
lights up.
Operating mode: Cross-ventilation
without heat recovery (supply air mode:
ventilation, summer operation, PPB 30
exhaust air mode).
Operating mode active when button LED
lights up.
Ventilation level setting buttons.
Associated ventilation level LEDs light up
(LED display with the 3 vertical LEDs, de-
pending on the LED combination level 0
to 5).
5.3 Meaning of the LEDs, symbols
LEDs
LED flashes quickly, slowly, lights
up
Vertical LEDs flash quickly = change air fil-
ter
Automatic operation
When automatic mode is activated, the
symbol lights up.
Ventilation levels
LED display depending on the ventilation
level selected.
Faults
The symbol lights up. The vertical
LEDs flash quickly and indicate a fault
(fault number depending on the LED
combination of the 3 LEDs) → Chapter
Faults and rectification [} 30].
5.4 Setting the ventilation level
Use or to select the desired ventilation
level. Ventilation system in standby at level 0
(level 0 can be deactivated in the service menu).
Ventilation level LEDs – Levels 0 to 5
0 1 2
Factory setting is ventilation level 2. This
setting is activated after every device start
(mains fuse ON).
