Observe symbols/pictograms on the mount-
ing sleeve.
Align the mounting sleeve up-
wards and sideways.
Align the mounting sleeve pre-
cisely using a spirit level.
Do not weigh down the mounting
sleeve too heavily and only over
the entire surface. Do not load the
mounting sleeve with a half start-
ing stone. Avoid damage: Mount-
ing sleeves must not bear any
load.
Do not drill into the mounting
sleeve.
Observe tightness.

13.1 Installation site, impermissible
operation
The RV 2 VS pre-installation kit is symmet-
rically constructed and can be used to the
right or left of the soffit.
ATTENTION Damage to the unit if the mount-
ing sleeve is overloaded. Always install the
mounting sleeve load-free and do not apply any
loads to the mounting sleeve. Do not deform the
mounting sleeve. This can otherwise leak and the
slide-in module cannot be inserted.
If positioning below the lintels, the load
transfer is to be considered.
Installation positions not permitted for the
pre-installation kit:
• below statically load-bearing components
• in areas with static loads
• in areas that are required for fastening a build-
ing element (window/door)
• below statically loaded areas in the safety zone
(blue labelling)

Operation is permitted:
• with installation on an exterior wall with suffi-
cient load-bearing capacity and exterior wall
thermal insulation 95 mm to 355 mm minus
plaster thickness.
• in supply air rooms.
• with free working space 0.7 m in front of the unit
(filter change).
• with permanent electrical installation with ap-
proved cables and connections.
• exactly levelled with the spirit level and aligned
on the exterior wall with vertical installation po-
sition.
• with RLS 45 K comfort control for operating a
maximum of 8 RV 2 units.
• with at least 1 pair of units, operation in pairs
is recommended. A single RV 2 unit can also
be combined with an exhaust air fan in the
bathroom/WC. Exhaust air fans with up to 60
m³/h (ER 60 or ECA 100 ipro) are permitted.
• with correctly installed external grille with drip
edge.

13.2 Mounting brackets

ATTENTION: Damage to the mounting sleeve
and 90° deflection unit for renovation work if
incorrectly fastened. Only screw the pre-installa-
tion kit to the exterior wall and the supports using
the mounting brackets supplied.
The mounting brackets can be bent to 2 lengths
for the "wide" mounting sleeve and "narrow" 90°
deflection unit for renovation work.
13.3 Adapting the mounting sleeve
and 90° deflection unit for renova-
tion work
• Saw the mounting sleeve to size using a band
saw or manually.
• Always make the cut at an angle and parallel to
the cutting marks.
• Do not use hot wire cutters.
• The mounting sleeve may only be drilled
through in the area of the labelled cable feeds
and with a maximum wall thickness. Other-
wise, drilling is not permitted.
