Observe symbols/pictograms on the mount-
ing sleeve.
Align the mounting sleeve up-
wards and sideways.
Align the mounting sleeve pre-
cisely using a spirit level.
Do not weigh down the mounting
sleeve too heavily and only over
the entire surface. Do not load the
mounting sleeve with a half start-
ing stone. Avoid damage: Mount-
ing sleeves must not bear any
load.
Do not drill into the mounting
sleeve.
Observe tightness.
Positions to feed the power cable.
11.1 Note the following when select-
ing the installation location
Select a suitable installation location for parapet
or soffit installation.
• ATTENTION: Damage to the unit. Always in-
stall the mounting sleeve load-free and do not
apply any loads to the mounting sleeve. When
installing the parapet wall never stand on the
mounting sleeve to avoid damage. Recom-
mendation: Protect the mounting sleeve with a
wooden plank until the window sill is installed. If
a window sill is installed, it distributes the load.
• ATTENTION: Damage to the unit. No fixing
points are permitted in the area of the mounting
sleeve. Then, final installation of the ventilation
unit is not possible.
• ATTENTION: Damage to the unit.
Do not place half starting stones on the mount-
ing sleeve.
• When installing the soffit, to transfer the load,
lay the bricks over the mounting sleeve in a
semi-offset position.
• Do not install the mounting sleeve in the area of
structural elements with vertical centre posts.
There may be statically loaded areas in the
centre parapet area of the wall opening.
Impermissible installation location for the
parapet wall and soffit variants.
When selecting the installation location, ob-
serve the load triangle and the impermissible
installation positions (marked red/blue).

Installation positions not permitted for the
mounting sleeve:
• below lintels
• below other statically load-bearing components
• in areas with static loads
• in areas that are required for fastening a build-
ing element (window/door)
