10 TRANSPORT

10.1 Transporting the appliance

IMPORTANT! Risk of damage to the mower
mechanism. At the lowest cutting height, the
mower mechanism can be damaged by driving
over steps, edges or kerbs.
Set the cutting height to the highest level for
transport.
1. Stop the mower mechanism and wait until it
has come to a standstill.
2. Set the highest cutting height.
Transporting the device between two working
areas
Move the device to the working area with the
mower mechanism switched off and set to
the highest cutting height.
Transporting the device in a vehicle/on a
trailer
The maximum permissible working load of the
means of transport must not be exceeded.
1. Switch off the device.
2. Remove the safety key.
3. Load the device onto the vehicle:
Have several persons to help
Use a sturdy and stable ramp.
4. Secure the device in the vehicle against fall-
ing over and slipping.

Remedy
Mow grass twice:
1st pass: high cutting height
2nd pass: desired cutting height.
Clean discharge channel/mower deck.
Increase speed of cutting blades.
Mow grass twice:
1st pass: high cutting height
2nd pass: desired cutting height.
Or: Mow a narrower strip of lawn.
Do not mulch damp grass.
Replace or regrind the cutting blades. Have
resharpened blades balanced.*
5. Support the mower mechanism to relieve the
load on the mower mechanism suspension.
6. Protect the device against collisions with
loose objects.
7. Do not place objects on the device.

10.2 Transporting batteries

Before transporting, carry out the following mea-
sures:
1. Switch off the appliance.
2. Remove the batteries from the appliance.
3. Pack the batteries properly (see below).
NOTE The nominal energy of the recharge-
able battery is more than 100 Wh. Therefore, ob-
serve the following transport instructions.
The Li-ion rechargeable battery contained in the
appliance is subject to the hazardous goods law,
but can be transported under simplified condi-
tions:
The rechargeable battery can be transported
on public roads by the private user without
further conditions provided it is packaged for
retail sale and the transport serves personal
purposes.
Commercial users who carry out the trans-
port in connection with their main activity
(e.g. delivery from and to building sites, or
demonstrations) can also take advantage of
this simplification.
