NOTICE
Installation of filters and meters
on the inlet pipe.
Risk of clogging and fouling of the
pump.
Flow resistance.
ÖDo not install fine filters, water
meters, etc. on the pump suction
pipe!
Connect the suction pipe to the pump suction
port (diameter 1" or 1-1/4". See 3.3).
The
submerged
positioned so as to supply the pump with
clear, uncontaminated water. It is advisable to
fit a strainer with a mesh size of between 1 and
3 mm.
When pumping from an unpressurised tank
(e.g. a cistern), a non-return valve must be
installed in the suction line.
4.2.2 DISCHARGE CONNECTION
Connect the discharge pipe to the pump
discharge sleeve (1" threaded connection).
Hold the sleeve when tightening.
We recommend installing a shut-off valve on the
discharge pipe to facilitate maintenance work.
A strainer with a mesh size of less than 1 mm
can be fitted to the discharge pipe.
4.3 ELECTRICAL CONNECTION
DANGER
Electrical
performed by an unqualified
individual.
Risk of death by electric shock!
ÖThe electrical connection must
be carried out by a qualified and
licensed electrician.
ÖThe electrical installation must
meet the current standards in the
country.
DANGER
ÖElectrical connections must not
be exposed to moisture.
The device's power supply must be connected
to ground (class I) and protected by a
high sensitivity differential circuit breaker
(30 mA). All wiring must conform to BS7671,
1992 requirements for electrical installations.
The connection must be used exclusively to
provide the power to the product. If the power
cord is damaged, to prevent possible danger,
it must be replaced by the manufacturer,
customer service team or a similarly qualified
individual. The device must be placed so that
suction
port
must
connection
the power supply socket is accessible.
Devices without plugs must be connected
to a main switch on the power supply which
disconnects all poles (contact separation
distance of at least 3 mm).
See page 2.
5. COMMISSIONNING
NOTICE
ÖAvoid pump operation with the
valve closed.
ÖAvoid
be
pumped fluid.
Check that the motor shaft turns freely :
Fill the pump casing:
- Open all shut-off valves on all suction and
discharge pipes.
work
- Open a filling point.
- Plug in the pump.
If the pump has been operating correctly for
3 minutes, close the filling points. You can use
the pump.
Note: depending on the length of the suction
pipe, it may take up to 5 minutes for the pump
to start up.
If the pump does not work, refill it.
If the pump still does not work, check:
- the suction seal is not leaking,
- that the strainer is not blocked,
- the suction hose is not kinked,
- that the maximum suction height does not
exceed the operating range.
After these checks, if the installation does not
work properly, refer to paragraph 8.
6. USE
DANGER
Danger of electric shock !
ÖIt is forbidden to use the pump
to drain basins, swimming pools...
when there are people in the water.
