- Check the polarity of the battery terminals. The POSITIVE (POS, P, +) battery pole
has
usually have a larger diameter than the NEGATIVE (NEG, N,-).
- Connect the red cable to the positive terminal of the battery and the black cable to
the negative terminal. If the battery cables are connected incorrectly, a protective
circuit prevents damage to either the charger or the battery.
- When switching off the charger, always proceed in the opposite order to the
connection.
Connect the charger to the mains socket. The charger starts automatically and the
following basic menu appears:
The following programmes are available
1 Easy charging (battery is
charged without entering further
parameters)
2 Boost charging (battery is
charged quickly)
3 Charge
4 Service (buffer and back-up
operation diagnosis and battery
change)
5 Reactivation (refreshing of
sulphated or deeply discharged batteries).
6 Setup
After selecting the setup, the following settings can be adjusted:
- Language
- Charging voltage CHARGE, EASY, SERVICE
The value can be changed by pressing the
respective button. The charging voltage can be
set in the range from 13.6V to 15.0V, the
SERVICE voltage in the range from 13.3V to
14.5V.
