BEHNCKE Level Control / Safety
2.3.1 Electric current
•
The electrical connection may only be made by skilled electricians.
•
You must observe the respective national regulations relating to electrical installations, as well as the
guidance of local utilities companies.
•
The control system may only be installed in control cabinets and cases specified or delivered bY
BEHNCKE.
•
Installation in atmospheres containing salt (e.g. saltwater spa, near the sea) may lead to corrosion on
the electrical contacts.
•
Voltage fluctuations disrupt operation and may damage the device.
•
Do not lay data and signal transmission cables together with other live cables.
•
The device must be switched off before opening the casing cover.

DANGER
Risk of death due to the electric current!
There is an immediate risk of death when touching live parts. Damage to the
insulation or individual components may be life-threatening.
•
In the event of damage to the insulation immediately switch off the power
supply and arrange for an electrician to repair it.
•
Work on the electrical systems may only be carried out by electricians.
•
Whenever work is carried out on the electrical system, it must be
disconnected and checked to ensure that it is off.
•
Switch off the power supply before carrying out any maintenance, cleaning
or repair works and secure it against being switched back on again.
•
A clearly visible warning sign must be put up during all work:
"DO NOT SWITCH ON! The control system is being worked on."
•
When touching electrical parts, be aware that capacitors may still
discharge.
•
Do not bypass or disable safeguards.
•
Sparks may be created at the electrical connections. As a result, the control
system must not be set up or operated in explosive atmospheres.
