2 Safety
This section gives an overview of all the important safety aspects to provide optimal protection for people,
as well as for safe and error-free operation. Failure to follow the instructions and safety information in this
manual may result in significant danger.
Carefully read this section before carrying out any work on the swimming pool control system!

2.1 Proper use
The BEHNCKE Level Control is intended exclusively for use in swimming pool installations,
in non-explosive rooms, with an overflow gutter or skimmer pool.
Any other use or use that goes beyond this is considered improper use. As a manufacturer,
BEHNCKE GmbH is not liable for any damage resulting from this. If another purpose is intended,
this must be approved in writing by BEHNCKE GmbH.
Proper use also includes:
• following all the instructions in the instruction manuals and the instruction manuals for the product's
individual components
• complying with inspection and maintenance works.
• The control system must not be operated in environments with a temperature below 5°C.
• The control system must not be set up or operated in explosive atmospheres.
• The control system may only be put into operation by a specialist.
• The control system may only be operated by trained individuals.
Claims of any kind resulting from misuse are excluded!

Danger from misuse!
Only use original replacement parts.
For safety reasons, modifications and alterations to the control system and its
components are prohibited without consulting the manufacturer.
For safety reasons, approved modifications and alterations to the electrical
installation may only be carried out by electricians.
