2.6.14.2. Changing the soldering tip
The soldering tip is only plugged in and can be pulled
out of the soldering iron handle with little effort. To
change the soldering tip when hot, please use a heat-
resistant silicone pad.
Only use original QUICK permanent soldering tips.
These have a multi-layer metallic coating. Mechanical
pressure or overly aggressive cleaning can damage this
coating and shorten the service life of the soldering tip.
You can find suitable soldering tips from the TSS08
series at Loet-Shop.de.
2.7. Calibration
NOTE: The temperature at the soldering tip should be measured regularly and
compared with the displayed ACTUAL temperature If there are excessive
deviations or once a year, the soldering station should be calibrated. We
recommend using the QUICK measuring device QU191AD.
1. Set the temperature to 300°C.
2. When the temperature has stabilised, measure the soldering tip
temperature.
3. Press and hold buttons 1 and 3 → display flashes
4. Use the +/- buttons to change the displayed value.
Press ENTER to save the value and when OK is
displayed, calibration is complete.
