8. Unpacking
• Open the packaging and carefully remove the
device.
• Remove the packaging material, as well as the
packaging and transport safety devices (if present).
• Check whether the scope of delivery is complete.
• Check the device and accessory parts for transport
damage. In the event of complaints the carrier must
be informed immediately. Later claims will not be
recognised.
• If possible, keep the packaging until the expiry of the
warranty period.
• Familiarise yourself with the product by means of the
operating instructions before using for the first time.
• With accessories as well as wearing parts
and replacement parts use only original parts.
Replacement parts can be obtained from your
dealer.
• When ordering please provide our article number
as well as type and year of manufacture for your
equipment.
m WARNING!
The device and the packaging material are not
children's toys! Do not let children play with
plastic bags, films or small parts! There is a
danger of choking or suffocating!
9.
Assembly
9.1 Fitting the handle extension, fig. 3
1.
Insert the handle extension (3) into the rear end of
the hot air fan (1).
2.
Ensure that the arrows on the lock rings (8) face
each other.
3.
The handle extension (3) engages with a click.
9.2 Fitting the handle, fig. 4
1.
Insert the handle (4) into the end of the handle
extension (3).
2.
In the tube of the handle (4), there is a groove for
guidance.
3.
Push until the spring-mounted locking pin engages
in the handle extension (3).
10. Disassembly
10.1 Disassembling the handle (4)
1.
Push on the spring-mounted locking pin and pull
the handle (4) out.
10.2 Disassembling the handle extension (3)
1.
Remove the lock ring (8) in the direction of the hot
air fan (1).
2.
Pull the handle extension (3) out of the hot air fan
(1).
11. Using the adapter nozzle (fig. 8)
mWARNING!
Before changing the nozzle, you must ensure that the
nozzle has cooled in order to avoid burns.
Cone nozzle (10) – Weed killing
1.
Fit the cone nozzle (10) to the blow-off pipe.
Reduction nozzle (12) – Welding plastic:
1.
Fit the reduction nozzle (12) to the blow-off pipe.
2.
Use the reduction nozzle (12) for heat-shrink tubes
and films.
Flat nozzle (11) – Loosen adhesive, soften paints:
1.
Fit the flat nozzle (11) to the blow-off pipe.
2.
Avoid exposing to heat for too long as burnt paint
can be very difficult to remove. Many adhesives
can be softened by heat. The adhesive joints can
then be separated and excess adhesive removed.
Spatula nozzle (13) – Remove paints and coatings:
1.
Fit the spatula nozzle (13) to the blow-off pipe.
2.
The spatula shape of this nozzle is used for
targeted hot air supply.
Grill nozzle (14) – Igniting charcoal
m WARNING!
Do not use any methylated spirits.
1.
Fit the grill nozzle (14) to the blow-off pipe.
2.
Insert the grill nozzle (14) into the charcoal. Ensure
that the last three grill nozzle holes remain free.
3.
Switch the device to level II.
4.
As soon as the charcoal has embers, remove the
device from the charcoal.
