Explanation of terms
Term Description
Fail-unlocked In the case of the fail-unlocked locking principle, the device is
locked when an electric current is flowing.
Lock The lock counterpart is the counterpart to the lock installed in

Lock pocket The lock pocket is the recess in the door or door frame to hold
the lock.
Armature The armature contact is a monitoring contact. The armature
contact contact signals whether the bolt is locked or unlocked.
