9.2.3 Replace the membrane cartridge
The membrane cartridge mainly comprises the following parts:
Membranes
n
n Intermediate plate
n Tension spring
n Piston with piston groove ring
In normal operation, the membrane cartridge must be changed annually or
after 4,000 operating hours.
The service life of the membrane depends on the following factors:
n Back pressure
n Operating temperature
n Dosing medium
NOTICE!
Under extreme operating conditions and when abrasive substances are
metered, the membrane must be checked at correspondingly shorter intervals.
When reinstalling a used membrane cartridge after an inspection, the groove
ring must be greased with RENOLIT SI 708 silicone grease.
