The pressing process

No pressing may be carried out without prior insertion of a fitting or piping.
Failure to comply with this rule will result in damage to the press ring and the hydraulic
cylinder.
Prior to starting the pressing process, the piping to be pressed must be positioned and secured
in place using adequate fastenings.
The required minimum length of pipe to be inserted in the press tool should be checked and, if
necessary, corrected.
5.1. Remove the press ring from the case.
5.2. To open the fastening, withdraw the pin S.
5.3 To ensure the press rings function correctly, the sliding segments
must be free to move.
The sliding segments are always pressed back automatically into
the correct starting position by springs.
Ensure that the marking lines M on the sliding segments C and the
shells D are in alignment in the starting position.
If this is not the case, have the press rings repaired.
5.4. NOTE:
No pressing without fitting.
Position the press ring over the edge of the press fitting.
The groove of the press ring should coincide exactly with the
fitting flange. The fixed centring plate B should be directed
towards the pipe, otherwise the press ring cannot be closed.
5.5. Fasten the press ring closed using the pin S.
Turn the press ring into the pressing position required by the
user.
