Device concept Profibus is a manufacturer-independent open field bus standard, used in many
Profibus different applications in manufacturing, process and building automation. Profi-
bus is suitable for high-speed, time-critical data transfer, as well as extensive and
complex communication tasks.
Profibus is characterised by its small footprint and high degree of modularity.
The fact that it can simply be fitted to a standard C-rail (thus saving space) and
employs direct cabling of actuators and sensors without any interconnections
between the terminals makes installation very straightforward. The uniform la-
belling system further simplifies the installation process.
NOTE!
The restriction of 128 input and output bytes imposed by the use of the BK3120
bus coupler means that a maximum of 8 power sources can be controlled simul-
taneously.
