Height adjustment / Forearm
NL
supports / Handles
SV
Height adjusting: Press the button (A)
on top of the handle to the left or right
to adjust the height. The marking on the
DA
button refers to its three positions where
(B) = Down, (C) = No action, (D) = Up.
Recommended height: Stand with
FI
relaxed shoulders and position your
elbows at a 90-degree angle (E). The
level of the forearm supports should
IS
align to the level of your elbows. To help
ensure a correct posture, a professional
should help you with the adjustment of
FR
the forearm supports and the handles.
Adjusting the forearm supports:
IT
The forearm supports can be adjusted
individually. Unscrew the lever under the
forearm support (F) until the cushion is
ES
moveable. Adjust to the required position
and tighten the screw. NB! If the lever
protrudes, it can be dangerous. Pull it down
CS
and rotate it away to be safely hidden.
Adjusting the handles (TOPRO Taurus
E Premium): Unscrew the lock wheel
(G). Pull the handle (H) backwards or
push it forwards and tilt it to the desired
angle (I). After adjusting the handle,
tighten the lock wheel (G). Be careful to
not hurt your fingers in the process.

Foot brakes /
Directional block
TOPRO Taurus E Basic – all
wheels / TOPRO Taurus E
Premium – front wheels:
Step on the foot brakes on the rear
wheels (A) and when required also on
the front wheels (B), until you hear a
clicking sound. The wheels are now in
the locked position (C). To release them,
step on the top of the foot brake pedal.
TOPRO Taurus E Premium – rear wheels:
Step on the foot brakes on the rear
wheels (A) once until you hear a click-
ing sound. The wheels are now in the
directional blocked position (E). Push
the foot brakes further down until you
hear a second click. The wheels are
now locked (F). To release them, step
on the top of the foot brake pedal (D).

Hand brakes
(Taurus E Premium)
Ensure the brakes are working properly
before every trip. Do not drive or push the
forearm walker while the parking brakes
are activated or when the wheels are partly
locked using the brakes. This indicates incor-
rect use and can cause wear and tear, which
makes the tires and brake quality weaker.
Art. No. User Manual: 104801 – Revision C, 2022-05
Parking brakes: Push both brake levers
forwards (A) to activate the parking
brakes. Be aware that the lever has some
resistance before it stops and locks the
rear wheel. Pull both brake levers towards
you to release the parking brakes.
Driving brakes: Pull both brake levers
towards you (B) to reduce speed. It is
a two-handed braking system, which
means that the brake is activated for
the rear wheel on the same side of
the walker as the brake lever. When
applying only one of the brakes, the
walker will turn to the same side when
walking. Releasing the lever will stop
the braking. Do not continuously use the
brakes when the walker is in motion.
Adjusting / checking: Loosen the nut
(C). Tighten / loosen the brake cable with
the adjustment screw (D). Ensure that
the brakes are working properly and
only touching the wheels when in use.
Adjust the brakes evenly on both sides.
Maintenance: Inspect the brakes regular-
ly by following the information above. For
best possible grip, wipe off the tires with a
damp cloth. The wheels and brakes can be
replaced if they are worn out or damaged.

Charging the battery
It is important to charge the battery
regularly to extend battery life. We
recommend charging the battery every
24 hours. Regular charging will improve
the performance of the battery. It takes
approximately 5–8 hours to fully charge
the battery. Do not charge batteries at
too high or too low temperatures.
Charging: Connect the charger to the
power grid without the battery. There are
two LED lights on the charger. The yellow
power-on-LED lights up when the charger
is connected to power. If there is no bat-
tery in the socket, the other LED light will
not light up. Remove the battery (A) from
the control box of the walker, by holding
the battery and turning it 45 degrees to
lift it out (B). Please check that the contact
surfaces are clean. Place the battery in the
charger (C) by sliding it in and rotating it

until it is pulled into place by the magnets.
Check that one of the arrows on the bat-
tery (D) points towards the white and blue
mark/eye (E). The LED light will now turn
blue. Once the charging is complete, the
blue LED will turn green, and it will remain
permanently lit. To remove the battery
from the charger, rotate it 90 degrees. It
will then be ejected and be ready for use.
To mount the battery on the walker again
put the battery back in the control box on
the column. Check that one arrow points
towards the white and blue mark/eye and
the other arrow points straight back (F).
Tips and recommendations: If the
battery's safety thermostat is activated
due to overload, the battery must be
allowed to cool for at least half an hour
before being charged or used again. A
new battery may be inserted into the
controller after one minute. Always wait
at least two seconds after the actuator
has stopped before removing the battery
from the controller. Always use batteries
which are in good condition and fully
charged when inserted into the controller.
You can extend the lifetime of the battery
by occasionally recharging it even though
it is not fully discharged. If the battery
level drops below the critical level and the
system shuts down, you must wait at least
one minute before inserting a different
battery and using the system again. If the
walker is not to be used for an extended
period (several days or weeks), the battery
should be removed from the controller to
avoid deep discharge, which can cause
lasting damage to it. Avoid getting metal
shavings or other magnetic objects on
the battery poles or in the charger.
