Procom DZL 363 with Promass 63
Mounting and installation of Procom DZL 363
Conditions for the use of Procom DZL 363 in hazardous areas (II3G/Ex Zone 2):
1. All national regulations governing installation and operation regulations are to be
observed when mounting this electrical device in an explosion hazardous area
(Cat. 3G/Zone 2).
2. It is to be mounted in an enclosure with a minimum of IP 54 ingress protection
type (according to EN 60529) when used outside, or IP 40 when used in enclosed
rooms.
3. Before switching on the device, ensure that the local power supply complies with
the range stated on the nameplate.
4. In II3G/Zone 2, removal of the instrument out of the enclosure, e.g. for repairs,
is only permitted with the power supply disconnected.
5. For exchanging the DAT memory module, the fuse (the same fuse as the safe
area version is used), or for configuration, use the same procedure as with the
safe area version.
6. For transmitters installed in zone 2 , cable entries are to be used which fulfil the re-
quirements of the applicable standards according to categorie 3G.

Cable entries
Cable entries for the EEx d version:
Optional M20x1,5 or ½" NPT threads for cable entries.
Ensure that the EEx d cable entries are tight and that the associated seals are in
contact with the housing.
Cable entries for the EEx e version:
Optional M20x1,5 or ½" NPT threads for cable entries or PG 13,5 cable glands.
Sensor cable connection:
The sensor cable connection between electronics housing and sensor is intrinsically
safe.
Optional M20x1,5 or ½" NPT threads for cable entries or PG 13,5 cable glands.
Only the cables delivered by E+H may be used.
Fuse exchange
Use only the following fuse types, which are mounted on the power supply board:
For 24 V (2,0 A fuse, slow blow, breaking capacity 1500 A),
for 220 V (1,0 A fuse, slow blow, breaking capacity 1500 A) .
