q) Pre-alarm with remote sensor 1
You can activate a so-called "Pre-alarm" for the normal one. This alarm will
sound in case the weather changes.
This function only works with the remote sensor 1, i.e. with a
remote sensor, assigned to the channel 1.
If the temperature collected at the remote sensor 1 within a pre-set
period, exceeds or undershoots 2.0 °C, the pre-alarm will be
triggered.
You can use this function as e. g "icy road warning" so that you can
leave the house a few minutes earlier and come to work early
enough.
Example:
If the normal daily alarm has been set e. g. to 07:00 a.m. and the pre-alarm to
45 minutes, the temperature monitoring function will be triggered at 06:15 a.m.
(45 minutes before the "normal" alarm). If the measured temperature is 2.0 °C
or lower by the pre-set time, the pre-alarm will be triggered (sounds maximum
2 minutes). The pre-alarm icon will be flashing. The "normal" alarm (at
7:00 a.m.) will not be triggered, if the pre-alarm has already sounded at e. g.
06:15 a.m.
To set the pre-alarm function, proceed as follows:
• Briefly press the "
" button to display the alarm time.
• Briefly press the "
" button one more time, instead of "AL", "PRE-AL" and
time data will appear (e. g. "15 min" or "-- min", respectively).
• Press and hold the "
" button until the minute digits start flashing.
• Pressing the " " / " " rocker buttons will set the pre-alarm to: 15, 30, 45 or
60 minutes.
• Briefly pressing the "
" button will store the setting, a small snow flake
icon appears near the bell icon ("
70
").

6. System description

The base unit has a large LC display for viewing temperature and humidity
readings as well as barometric pressure, time/date. The base unit supports up
to three remote sensors (one included) transmitting temperature and humidity
readings.
A built-in barometer (changes in barometric pressure can be used to forecast
the weather with relative accuracy) enables the unit to display the weather
forecast in the form of graphical icons ("Sun", "Clouds", "Rain"). Barometric
pressure values (mb/hPa/inHg) of the last 24 hours are stored and can be
recalled later.
You do not need to install any wires due to radio transmission from remote
sensor to base unit (433 MHz technology) which simplifies the installation and
offers you additional options. You can install, as an example, one remote
sensor in the carport, the other one in the heating room and the third one can
measure and transmit the temperature/humidity from your storage room.
The base unit can store and display the maximum/minimum temperature and
humidity readings.
The unit also features a temperature and humidity trend indicator integrated
into the LC display and a comfort level humidity indicator.
The current time and date will automatically be synchronized to the DCF radio
signal, when the base unit is within a maximum radius of approx. 1500 km from
Frankfurt on the Main, Germany (DCF77), where the signals are generated.
You can also set the time and date manually when not within the range of the
DCF transmitter.
The weekday display is available in 5 languages: English, German, Spanish,
French, Italian.
The base unit features a switchable on/off alarm clock with snooze function.
The base unit or the remote sensor can be either wall-mounted (mounting hole
on the rear) or placed on a surface utilizing the included table stand.
