4.2.1 Plug connector connection
• When closing the connector plug pay attention to the position of the marking arrow. The connection is
completed only once it is locked (pay attention to the open-close rotation direction).
• Connector plug on the spindle allows the use of screw and quick release connector plugs.
• Use only sealed connector plugs, otherwise sealing air will leak at connector plug.

Compressed air connections

4.2.3 Compressed air purity class according to ISO 8573-1:2010
Particles Class 1
The number of particles per cubic meter of compressed air must not exceed 20,000 particles in
the range between 0.1–0.5 µm, 1,000 particles in the range between 0.5–1 µm and
10 particles in the range between 1–5 µm.
Water Class 4
A pressure dew point of +3°C or better. Water in liquid form is not permissible.
Oil content Class 2
A maximum of 0.1 mg of oil is permitted per cubic meter of compressed air. This value
corresponds to the total liquid oil, oil aerosol and oil mist content.
4.2.4 Connection of sealing air

Pressure Flow rate 20 Nl/min corresponds to approx. 0.8 bar when measured according to the following
structure:
Quality Compressed air purity class according to compressed air purity class above
• Only use compressed air free of dirt, water and oil!
• Never operate the motor spindle without sealing air.
• Set up the sealing air flow and check whether the air is coming out between the housing and the
fleeting ring.
• The specified IP class (see 3.1 Technical data) can be achieved only if the sealing air is connected and
the required flow is set up.
