9 Operation

9.1 Information on switching the vacuum
system on and off
Switch on vacuum system
The vacuum system must not start up against positive
pressure when switched on. This also applies during op-
eration after a brief power interruption. If a vacuum sys-
tem runs against pressure, the pump can block, where-
upon the blocking protection (drive) is triggered and the
vacuum system switches off.

Ensure that no pressure is present in the lines when
switching on.

Switch on the vacuum system with the power switch (see
Fig. 11).
à
Start the pump operation of the vacuum system by press-
ing the START button on the vacuum controller.
