■ Do not wash the filter in a
washing machine or a dish-
washer.
The motor protection filter consists
of foam and should be cleaned
regularly, at the latest when the
suction force diminishes.
1. Pull the mains plug (13) out of
the socket.

2. Press the unlocking but-
ton (15) for the dust bin (4) and
lift the dust bin upwards by the
carrying handle (1) to remove
it from the appliance.

3. Pull the motor protection fil-
ter (37) out of the holder (38)
and tap it out over a waste bin.
Cleaning and maintenance
4. If the motor protection filter is
very dirty, clean it under warm
running water.
Squeeze the water out of the
motor protection filter carefully
– do not wring it out!
5. Let the motor protection fil-
ter dry completely.
6. Re-insert the motor protection
filter into the appliance in re-
verse order.
7. Put the dust bin (4) back into
the appliance.
