Troubleshooting

Malfunctions can occur in all electrical appliances. This does not necessarily mean
there is a defect in the appliance. For this reason, please check the tables to see if
you can correct the malfunction.

The appliance operates with dangerous voltages.
■ Never attempt to repair the appliance yourself. You can put your own and future
users' lives in danger. Only authorised specialists are allowed to carry out this re-
pair work.

The display does not
light up .

The appliance is not
starting .
Malfunction
Possible causes
The power supply is interrupted .
The condensate drawer (9) is full . Empty the condensate drawer .
The water drain hose (19) is not
connected or laid out properly .
The heat exchanger, lint filter (8)
and/or bottom filter (7) are clogged
by lint .
The power supply is interrupted .
The appliance door (5) is open .
No cycle has been set .
The appliance is not switched on .

Solutions, tips
Check whether the power supply
is working properly .
Check whether the mains plug is
inserted .
Check the selected cycle .
Press the On/Off button (1) .
Make sure that the water drain
hose is installed correctly see
"Attaching the water drain hose
(optional)" on page EN-25) .
If the indicator continues to
illuminate after that, contact
our Service department (see
page EN-31) .
Clean the heat exchanger, lint
filter and bottom filter .
Check whether the power supply
is working properly .
Close the appliance door (5) .
Choose a cycle .
Press the On/Off button (1) .
If the appliance still does not start
after that, contact our service
department (see page EN-31)
