2.9. Upgrading MIE 8-00 and MIE 16-00
2.9.1.

Software extension

The MIE 8-00 can be expanded from 8 to 16 output modulators with the MIS 8-16 software extension (see 3.8 Licenses for
Software Extensions on page 51).
2.9.2.

Hardware extension

The MIE 8-00, MIE 16-00, MIE 4-02 and MIE 3-02 can be extended with an additional hardware module.
•
MIE 8-00 and MIE 16-00 with the extension module MIM 16-00
•
MIE 4-02 with the extension module MIM 4-02
•
MIE 3-02 with the extension module MIM 3-02
 Disconnect the device from the mains.
 Disassemble the cover plate on the back.
 Insert the module carefully.
The module noticeably snaps into the contacts.
 Screw the module with the screws of the cover plate.
 Then reconnect the device.
 Configure the new module as described in the chapter Configuration.
