Operation

7.1

Switching the device on and off

The power switch "I/O" (at the rear) is used to switch the control unit on and off.
The device can be switched off at any time irrespective of any procedure for switching off the device.
7.2

Overview: Control elements on the operation panel

A
A) Display: Shows the operating values (See chapter "7.3 Overview: Standard display").
B) "HP" key (Handpiece): Choice of handpieces or contra angle (can be individually deactivated, refer to
"7.7 Configuration Menu").
C) "SH" key (Shaver): Selection of program 2 and 3 for shaver functions
Program 2: Oscillating shaver
Program 3: Continuous shaver
D) "Speed" keys:
Restrict the maximum speed that can be selected using the pedal.
"▲": increases the maximum speed
By pressing both "Speed" keys at the same time, "Speed ▲ + ▼", the handpiece calibration is activated
(refer to "7.4.2 Calibrating handpieces").
E) "Torque/Frequency" keys:
Restricts the maximum torque when Program 1 is activated.
"▲": increases the maximum torque
With the shaver handpiece attached and Program 2 selected the key pair is used to set the oscillation
period.
"▲": increases oscillation period
F) "Pump" keys:
Changing the pump flow rate that can be supplied using the pedal.
"▲": increases the maximum supply quantity
By pressing both "Pump" keys at the same time "Pump ▲ + ▼" the pump will be put on call, pressing again
will switch it off.
