Rye Porridge
Ingredients:
• 1 measuring cup soaked/rinsed raw
almonds
• 1 cup rye fl akes
• 2 cups of water
• 1-3 teaspoons agave nectar
• 1 dash cinnamon or nutmeg
• 1 pinch of sea salt
Fill the chamber with 2 cups of water. Add rye
fl akes into Soyabella's stainless steel chamber.
Fill the milk screen with the almonds, and
securely attach to the head unit. Follow
instructions for making Chunky Soup (p. 34).
Pour the unfl avored porridge into a bowl and
mix in agave nectar and sea salt. Serve while
still warm – adding an additional dash of cin-
namon or nutmeg on top of each serving.
Millet Porridge
Ingredients:
• 2 cups of water
• 1 1⁄2 cup of millet (soaked overnight,
rinsed)
• 1 1⁄2 measuring cup of soaked/rinsed
sunfl ower seeds
• 1⁄2 teaspoons cinnamon
• 1 pinch of cardamom
• 1-3 teaspoons of agave nectar
• 1 pinch of sea salt
• a pat of butter
• 1 handful soaked raisins
Pour the millet and water into Soyabella's
stainless steel chamber. Fill the milk screen
with the sunfl ower seeds, and securely attach
to the head unit. Follow instructions for making
Chunky Soup (p. 34). Pour the porridge into a
bowl. Mix in cinnamon, cardamom, agave
nectar, and sea salt. Serve while still warm –
adding a pat of butter to each bowl, garnishing
with raisins and a dash of cinnamon on top of
each serving.
Brown Rice and Pine
Nut Porridge
Ingredients:
• 2 measuring cups of brown rice
• 1 measuring cup of pine nuts
• 1.3 l of water
• salt and seasonings, for fl avour
Soak brown rice for 4-6 hours or overnight.
Add brown rice directly into Soyabella's stain-
less steel chamber. Add water to stainless steel
chamber until the water level reaches the 0.8
l line. Follow instructions for making Creamy/
Puréed Soup (p. 33/34). Once cycle is com-
plete, add water until it reaches the 1.3 l line.
Re-attach head unit and press MILL button.
Once the grinding cycle is over, press the MILL
button once more. Add salt and seasonings for
fl avour. Try adding more pine nuts on top of
your porridge to add a delicious crunch.
