Abbreviations and glossary

Word

Intended use

2.1

Proper use

The Combi D diesel heater is a warm-air heater with in-
tegrated water container (10 litre volume)�
This appliance was designed for installation in motor
homes vehicle class M1 and caravans (vehicle class O)�
The heater must not be used while the vehicle is in
motion�
2.2

Unauthorised use

All other uses not listed under proper use are improper
and therefore prohibited� This applies e�g� to installation
and operation in:
Motor buses (vehicle classes M2 and M3),
Commercial vehicles (vehicle class N),
Boats and other water vessels,
Hunting / forest huts, weekend homes or awnings,
In trailers or vehicles used to transport dangerous
goods�
It is prohibited to heat liquids other than drinking water
(e�g� cleaning, descaling, disinfection and preserving
agents)�
Defective appliances must not be used�

Appliances that are not installed or used in accordance
with the installation and operating instructions may not
be used�
2.3
Exclusion of warranty and
guarantee claims
In particular, the following will render warranty and
guarantee claims void and lead to exemption from lia-
bility claims:
Modifications to the appliance (including
accessories),
Modifications to the exhaust gas system and the
cowl;
Using replacement and accessory parts other than
original Truma parts;
Failure to follow the installation and operating
instructions�
This may invalidate the operating approval of the appli-
ance and also the operating approval of the vehicle in
some countries�
2.4
Installation, dismantling,
repositioning
Only competent, trained personnel (experts)
may install and repair the Truma product
and carry out the function check in accord-
ance with the installation and operating in-
structions and the current recognised rules
of engineering� Experts are persons who, based on their
professional training, their knowledge of and experience
with Truma products and the relevant standards, are
able to carry out the required work properly and recog-
nise potential hazards�
The following applies to non-experts:
Do not open the appliance�
Do not install the appliance, either in different loca-
tions or in different vehicles�
Do not dismantle the appliance, reposition it or re-
pair it on your own�
Have the appliance installed, dismantled or reposi-
tioned only by an expert�
