Operation

5.5.5 Closing the drain valve

Move the lever to the horizontal position "operation
closed" (Fig 10-2) or (Fig 10-3)
5.6

Filling the water container

Make sure that the FrostControl / drain valve is
closed (see "Manual closing of the FrostControl" or
"Closing the drain valve")

When the temperature at the FrostControl is below
approx 7 °C, first switch on the heater to warm
the installation compartment and the FrostControl
After several minutes, when the temperature at the
FrostControl is above 7 °C, the safety / drain valve
can be closed
Switch on the power for the water pump (main
switch or pump switch)
Open the hot water taps in the kitchen and bath-
room (set preselecting mixing taps or single-lever
fittings to "hot") Leave the fittings open until the
water container has been filled by displacing the air
and water flows without interruption

If only the cold water system is operated, the water
container will also fill with water To prevent frost
damage, if there is a risk of frost, the water contain-
er must be emptied via the safety / drain valve, even
if it is not being used

In the event of frost, filling may be prevented by
frozen residual water The water container can be
thawed by starting the system for a short time (max
2 minutes) Frozen pipes can be thawed by heating
the interior of the vehicle
If the water container is connected to a central water
supply (town water), a non-return valve must be in-
stalled to ensure that non-drinking water cannot flow
back or be sucked back into the central water supply
from the vehicle
NOTICE
Water damage caused by high water pres-
sure
If the water container is connected to a central
water supply (town water), pressure in the water
container can exceed 28 bar
Install a pressure reducer on a central water
supply system

Draining the water container

NOTICE
Frost damage caused by water in the water
container
Drain the water container if the motor home /
caravan is not being used during the frost
period
Switch off the power to the water pump (main or
pump switch)
Open hot water taps in the kitchen and bathroom

To check the draining water, place a suitable
container (10 litres) beneath the drainage sock-
et (Fig 9-4) or the (Fig 10-4) safety / drain valve
Open the safety / drain valve (see "Manual opening
of the FrostControl" or "Opening the drain valve")
The water container is now drained directly to the out-
side via the safety / drain valve Check that all the water
(10 litres) drains into the container through the safety /
drain valve
No frost damage claims may be made under the
warranty.

Filling the fuel lines

To fill the fuel lines, you generally have to start the heat-
er several times
If the fuel lines are empty, we recommend that you con-
tact a Truma Service Station Alternatively, carry out the
following steps:
Check that the wall cowl is unobstructed Remove
any blockages
Switch on the appliance at the control panel The
appliance automatically performs 2 starting attempts
(initial start and repeat) per switch-on procedure
with a run time of 2 minutes in each case If no
flame is detected after the repeat start, the appliance
switches to fault and has to be switched off and on
again at the control panel

After a total of 15 unsuccessful starting attempts
(initial and repeat start) with no flame, the system is
blocked Customer Service must unlock it Contact
the Truma Service Centre or one of our authorised
Service Partners (see wwwtrumacom)
Check fuel lines and connections for leaks after fill-
ing the fuel lines
