CORRECT PLACEMENT OF A FINGER ON THE SENSOR

A FINGERPRINT MUST COVER AT LEAST 70% OF THE SENSOR
Women, children and users with smaller fingerprints will have to press their
fingers on the sensor more firmly in order to cover a big enough area (a fingerprint
flattens and widens if pressed more firmly).

THE MOST PROMINENT PART OF A FINGERPRINT SHOULD BE
PLACED IN THE MIDDLE OF THE SENSOR
For the majority of users this means the middle of their fingerprint, where
the loops of the fingerprint pattern form a centre. Take a closer look of your
fingerprints and their characteristics.

DRY SKIN IS THE NO. 1 CAUSE FOR POOR FINGERPRINT
RECOGNITION
If the finger has to be pressed on the sensor more firmly than usual in order
to recognize it, the most common cause is dry skin. This can happen more often in
winter months. We can moisten our fingerprints with a help of a hand creme, mois-
turizing tissueor by breifly touching a moist surface.

THE FINGER SHOULD BE HELD STILL WHILE IT IS PRESSED ON
THE SENSOR
The device will make a beep after a succesfull reading. A finger should be
moved only after the beep.

EACH USER FINGERPRINT SHOULD BE ENROLLED SEVERAL TIMES!
MOREOVER, MORE FINGERS ON BOTH HANDS SHOULD BE ENROLLED, TO
PROVIDE MORE OPTIONS IN THE CASE OF FINGER DAMAGE.
By taking these measures, good reading will be provided regardless of the
finger position on the sensor and even in the case of a severely damaged
fingerprint.
CLEAN THE SENSOR REGULARLY
Clean the sensor regularly with a dry or damp cloth. Dirt that accumulates on the
surface of the sensor can significantly impair fingerprint recognition.

IS ALWAYS IN STANDBY MODE AND WAITING FOR THE FINGERPRINT
When a finger is placed on the sensor, the reader needs approximately one second to open the door.

ENROLLS AND DELETES FINGERPRINTS
Every operation is started by pressing the corresponding button on a control unit or a remote control. All
procedures are described in this manual.

CAN PERFORM FACTORY RESET
Factory reset operation can be performed by pressing R button on the control unit and holding it for 10
seconds. It deletes all fingerprints from the memory (administrator fingerprints included).

OPENING OF A SIDE ENTRANCE OR GARAGE DOOR (RELAY 2) - control unit installed in a
door leaf, DIN rail control unit
It enables opening of an additional door or triggering of a device. Triggering of the additional function can
be assigned to each enrolled fingerprint. The procedure is described in fingerprint enrolment section of this
manual.

USES HIGH SECURITY PROCEDURES AND COMPONENTS
Enrolment of a user can only be performed after confirmation by the administrator while the communication
between the fingerprint reader and the control unit, installed inside the door leaf, is encrypted by 256-bit
encryption.
Whenever an operation is not concluded (a fingerprint is not enrolled or deleted) the operation will auto-
matically time out after 1 minute.
In a case of a sensor not recognizing a fingerprint 7 times in a row, your fingerprint reader will perform a
30 second security lockdown. For every following sequence of 7 failed attempts, the lockdown period will
be extended for another 30 seconds. The longest lockdown period is 5 minutes. Whenever a finger print is
recognised, the countdown towards lockdown is reset.
