5. Wash the motor protection fil-
ter under running water.
Should the motor protection
filter be damaged or can no
longer be sufficiently cleaned,
it must be replaced with a new
one.
6. Let the motor protection fil-
ter dry completely.
7. Push the motor protection filter
back into the holder. The motor
protection filter's black side
points forwards.
8. Insert the dust bag as de-
scribed in section "Changing
the dust bag" on page EN-21.
Combine changing or clean-
ing the motor protection filter
with changing the dust bag.

■ Before replacing or clean-
ing the hygiene fi lter, al-
ways pull the mains plug
out of the socket.

Improper handling of the ap-
pliance may result in damage.
■ Only use the appliance with
the fi lters installed.
■ Never dry hygiene fi lters on
a heater or with a hairdryer
or tumble dryer, etc. It will
become porous and can be
damaged.
■ Never wash the hygiene fi l-
ter in a washing machine.
■ Only let the hygiene fi lter
air-dry.
