9. Advanced functions

a) Alarm setting
The alarm function serves to emit an acoustic signal when the specified limits for resistance and
current measurement are exceeded. This enables quick and convenient series measurement.
The alarm function can be enabled or disabled by briefly pressing the "AL" button when the
tester is turned on.
Keep the "SET" button pressed for approx. 2 seconds until the first digit (100th decimal place)
flashes on the display.
Set the alarm value by pressing the "MEM" button or the "AL" button. Use the "MEM" button to
increase the value and the "AL" button to decrease the value.
Pressing the "SET" button changes the decimal place.
Use the "MODE" button to toggle the alarm setting for resistance and current.
When you are done with all settings, press and hold the "SET" button for approx. 2 seconds. This
will save the settings and exit the setup menu.
With the alarm function activated, the alarm icon (B)
flashes and the tester beeps at intervals when the re-
sistance or current reading exceeds the alarm value.
The maximum alarm value for ground resistance is
200 ohms.
b) HOLD function
Use the "HOLD" function to freeze the display reading
so you can take your time to read or document it.
For a stable reading, briefly press the "HOLD" button.
The "HOLD" icon on the display indicates that the dis-
play reading is frozen.
Pressing the "HOLD" button again deletes the value
and re-enables the measurement. The "HOLD" icon
goes out.
