Introduction
This section describes the individual components of the HRV 501. Please use the Fig. 1
illustration on page 4 for reference
Cabinet
Cabinet parts are made of aluzink coated sheet metal, finished with powder paint. Cabi-
net is internal sound and heat insulated, with fire retardant polyester foam. The unit´s
cabinet is designed for mounting in 10-40° C ambient temperature
Filters
The unit is standard equipped with class F7 cassette filter on supply air and G4 cassette
filter on exhaust air. These filters remove dust and particles, in both airflows going to
the heat exchanger. These filters protects the heat exchanger and improves the inside
environment
During the filter timer period of 4380 hours, both fan speeds will increase, to compen-
sate for higher filters resistance. At every 500 hours decrease in remaining filter time,
each fan increases by 1%, without changing the differences in speed between the two
fans Speed 4 will only be changed if initially calibrated below the default 100%
Heat exchanger
The heat exchanger moves the heat from extract air to the supply air. The heat ex-
changer is rotating slowly in order to move the exchanger parts from extract air to sup-
ply side
Fans
Supply air fan supply fresh outdoor air through the unit's heat exchanger to the distri-
bution ducts, where it´s distributed to bedrooms, living rooms and possibly sauna or
steam bath.
The extract air fan draws used and moistened air from inside, through the unit and heat
exchanger, in which most of the heat is moved to supply air. Finally the air is exhausted
to the outside.
Safety switch
When opening the unit, the safety switch breaks the power supply, and operation will
stop immediately.
