Loading
1. Insert the CertoClav base plate into the sterilization chamber.
2. Fill the chamber with 1.5 liters of distilled water.
3. Place the load to be sterilized on the base plate.
Closing and locking
1. Check if the white gasket is inserted in the lid.
2. Press the red knob and turn it clockwise to OPEN.
3. Place the lid on the chamber and turn it clockwise until the handles are aligned.
4. Turn the red knob counterclockwise to lock the lid.
5. Connect a hose to the steam release spigot, usual it is open and sealed.
6. Connect the connecting power cord to the autoclave and control unit, screw the temperature sensor into the
control unit.
Starting a program
Select a sterilization program at the control unit and press start.
Venting
If venting is activated, then the sterilization chamber is vented at 115°C for 10 minutes.
Sterilization
In case of sterilization times longer than 2 hours, close the black steam release spigot after the sterilization
temperature has been reached. Turn knob clockwise, this may break the seal. (NO loss of warranty)
Opening
Wait until the temperature of the Chamber is below 80°C. Turn red knob to OPEN and open the lid of
autoclave. If liquids have been sterilized, wait until the chamber temperature drops below 70°C°. Otherwise
there is the risk of burns from delayed boiling.

If you want to choose a new program in the control unit, consider the following sterilization holding time
for different volume of liquid media.
