When used for long-term cycles, there is a risk of dry cooking and overheating. The autoclave may
be damaged. Check the water level regularly.
Do not open the autoclave before the program is finished. An acoustical signal will sound and
then the autoclave is cooled down to 80°C and can be opened.
Do not transport when filled. Do not open with force.
This autoclave must only be maintained by CertoClav Sterilizer GmbH or people authorized by it
(specialist company or customer service), using original spare parts only and in accordance with
the service instructions.
Autoclave – Safety devices
Locking mechanism and exhaust valve inside the handle
to prevent opening under pressure, as well as pressure build-up if the device is not properly
closed. Turning the orange knob to "OPEN" automatically opens the exhaust valve and releases
steam. As long as the unit is not properly locked, the exhaust valve remains open and prevents
pressure build-up.
Pressure limitation valve
If the maximum working pressure of 2.7 bar is exceeded by max. 10 %, this pressure limitation
valve opens.
Safety valve
Should the pressure limitation valve fail, the safety valve opens at a pressure of 3.6 to 4 bar (and
closes again when the operating pressure is reached). In this case, replace the pressure limitation
valve as there may be a defect.
ATTENTION: In this case, be sure to return the unit for inspection.
