Alert
The revenue cutter Alert was used at the coasts of the United States for pursuit by smugglers. For this
reason it was equipped with large sails and a wedge-shaped deep keel around faster and more highly at
the wind sails. In the ship center at deck the Alert is equipped with a swivelling Karronade with all
accessories, which gives a very beautiful historical idea of the work at that time on board.
This component system is both relatively simple in its construction, contains however very many interesting
details, so that one can make from it a genuine piece of museum. So some medals could be achieved by
the designers with this component system. Nevertheless this project can be tackled also by beginners,
since structural drawing and building guidance are very in detail arranged. The component system contains
all frames, the keel and many plywood parts with laser beam already low-cut out. The border material and
the round bars for masts and trees are from select quality. The fitting set contains the cast parts such as
cannon pipe, Ruderdalben, anchor and the blocks and yarn for the takelage. Likewise different parts from
brass are corroded. The carefully designed structural drawing with a detailed building guidance does not
leave open to ask. Likewise bases for the a riser are treated in detail.
