These operating instructions concern the following dry running rotary vane pressure/vacuum pump: Models KTR.
The model a have nominal capacity of 140 m
on the data plate (N). The tables showing capacity against pressure and vacuum can be seen in data sheet D 461.
Description
All models have a vacuum and pressure port. All vacuum air is fi ltered by a built in micro-fi ne fi lter. The carbon dust
which is the result of the carbon blades wearing is also separated by built-in fi lters.
A high effi ciency cooling fan is located between the pump housing and the motor. The pumping unit is encased in a
rugged black sound enclosure. The compressed air is cooled by an after cooler. The pressure/vacuum pump is driven
by a direct fl anged three phase, standard TEFV motor via a coupling.
Pressure and vacuum can be adjusted to the required levels, however, they are limited to a maximum point.
Optional extras: As required, non-return valves (ZRK), pipe connection (ZSA), motor starter (ZMS) and electrical plug-
connection.
Application
The unit KTR is suitable for the use in the industrial fi eld i.e. the protection equipments corresponds to EN DIN
294 table 4.
The units KTR produce simultaneously pressure and vacuum between 0 and the maximum limits, which are shown at
the data plate (N). They may be operated continuously.
Warning – Suction of explosive gases
Any non compliance may lead to severe injury to persons and damage to the MICOVA may occur!
Dangerous mixtures (i.e. infl ammable, poisonous or explosive gases or vapours), extremely humid air, water vapour,
aggressive gases or traces of oil and grease must not be handled.
This dry running pressure/vacuum pump is suitable for use with air of a relative humidity of 30 to 90%.
The MICOVA may not be used in hazardous areas.
Caution – Do not exceed the temperature
At non compliance severe damage may occur on the MICOVA.
The ambient and suction temperatures must be between 5 and 40° C. For temperatures outside this range please
contact your supplier.
Caution – Noise Emission
Potential risks for operating personnel.
When working permanently in the vicinity of an operating MICOVA, we recommend wearing ear protection to
avoid any damage to hearing.
