8 Connecting to Ceramic Flues

The information provided in advance regarding assembly instructions and installation regulations are still valid (see
distances, thermal insulation, flue pipe connection).
•
The appliances are especially suitable for installation with ceramic flues. However, proper functioning of the heating
system can only be guaranteed if the following points are observed:
- Installation of a start-up flap (start-up slide) directly connected to the chimney;
- Calculation of the ceramic flue;
- Use of suitable materials;
- Compliance with the maximum flue lengths;
- Installation of a direct or preheating flue;
- Compliance with the prescribed unobstructed area of the air grids.
The ceramic flue must be calculated in compliance with the maximum flue lengths specified, and in line with the
Technical Regulations of the Furnace and Air Heating Construction Trade as well as with the prevailing structural
designs.
