The air contained in the bestmin water optimisation system must be
removed before commissioning. Depending on installation, there are various ways
of doing this:
If the downstream equipment (e.g. coffee machine) has a function for commission-
ing filter cartridges, please follow the menu instructions in the display. Please read
the Operating Instructions of the equipment.
If option 1 is not possible because of the installation, the bestmin filter cartridge
can be bled through the bestflush or bestflush PLUS. For installation and use
please refer to the bestflush or bestflush PLUS installation and operating instruc-
tions. Bleed the bestmin filter cartridge until bubble-free and clear filtered water
comes out. Place a container with a capacity of at least 4 litre underneath.)
If bleeding is not possible through one of the above-mentioned methods, it can be
done through the outlet hose. To do this, loosen the outlet hose from the equip-
ment (e.g.: water dispenser). Put the end into a container with a capacity of at
least 4 litre. Bleed the bestmin filter cartridge by turning on the
water supply. Bleed the filter cartridge until bubble-free and clear
filtered water comes out. Then fit the outlet hose to the appliance
again.

8 Guarantee
bestmin water optimisation systems by BWT have a two-year guarantee. The guar-
antee is only valid provided the instructions in this manual are followed.

9 Operator Duties

You have bought a long-life and service-friendly product. But every technical appli-
ance needs regular service work to maintain perfect function.
Drinking water is a foodstuff. Hygienic care when conducting the work should
therefore be a matter of course.
Check for leaks: daily
Replace filter cartridge: at least after 12 months
Replace filter head: after 5 years (see installation plate)
Replace reinforced hoses: after 5 years
According to DIN 1988 the wearing parts must be replaced by specialist staff
(specialist dealer or customer service). There is no need for maintenance if the filter
cartridges are replaced regularly.
