Installation of bestmin water optimisation systems
IMPORTANT:
Install bestmin filter cartridges only in correctly installed original water+more by
f
BWT filter heads.
Do not exert any force. Otherwise the guarantee for the systems will
f
be invalid.
Disconnect the electricity supply of the end device (pull out the plug)
f
f Pay heed to the technical data (section 2) as well as the operating and safety
information (section 4).
If the product has been stored under 0 °C, the unpacked product must be
f
exposed to the ambient temperature of the installation location for at least
24 hours before commissioning.
7.1 Fitting the wall mounting/Fitting the filter head
f Take the filter head with wall-mounting out of
the packaging and check that it is undam-
aged
Remove the wall-mounting from the fil-
f
ter head and fit at an appropriate place with
screws Ø 5 mm (not included in the deliv-
ery scope)
If an "installation plate" is enclosed, mark the
f
date (month/year) of initial installation and
stick on the filter head
Fit filter head to wall-mounting.

(see Fig. 1 & 2)
Observe the direction of flow!!
f
f Fit the water intake and water outlet hose to
the filter head.
Connect water outlet hose to the equipment
f
(e.g. coffee machine)
f Shut off mains supply (water intake)
f Connect water intake hose to mains supply
Open mains supply and check system for
f
leaks
a) No water should leak out, even without an
installed bestmin Water Optimisation System
and with an open mains supply!! If neces-
sary, check installation!!
b) The filter head must not be under mains wa-
ter pressure for a long time without a filter cartridge screwed on.
The bypass setting has no influence on the correct functioning of the bestmin fil-
ter cartridge
