Performing the first function test
Mount the BG 4 oxygen cylinder (filling pressure approx.
200 bar).
Mount the Tramix mixed-gas cylinder (filling pressure
approx. 300 bar).
Insert battery in accordance with PSS BG 4/PSS Tramix
Instructions for Use.
Check Bodyguard function in accordance with
PSS BG 4/PSS Tramix Instructions for Use.
Checking sensor leaktightness and function of
the bypass valve
Apply soapy water to the sensor with a brush. No air
bubbles may form during this process.
Actuate the bypass valve. You should be able to hear the
oxygen stream.
Close the cylinder valve and disassemble the sealing
plug R 33 790.

Assembling the components

Assembly of these components is described in the
PSS BG 4 Instructions for Use.
Applying identification label
Apply the identification label as illustrated in the figure.

2 PSS BG 4 bodyguard
3 PSS BG 4 harness

Checking function

Carry out function test in accordance with the "Testing" section
in the PSS BG 4/Tramix Instructions for Use
The device is only ready for use when all tests have been
carried out in accordance with the "Testing" section in the
PSS BG 4/Tramix Instructions for Use.
